Jim Carkhuff

Jim Carkhuff's paintings of cowboy and western landscapes, stagecoaches and Native American life detail a lifelong journey of unique artistic talent. He was born on a farm in southwest Colorado in 1927. Growing up he worked on various neighboring ranches until moving north to Idaho in 1970. As to when he started painting – “guess I was sketching horses as soon as I could walk.” Jim comments.
