Hy Hintermeister
Henry Hintermeister, known professionally as Hy Hintermeister, was an American painter and illustrator born in 1897. Along with his father, John, he produced artwork for popular magazines and advertisements. Hy Hintermeister American themed paintings typically depicted iconic scenes or recreation, wildlife, and portraits of Indian maidens and Egyptian princesses. The duo also created semi-humorous works featuring the dangers of hunting, fishing, and crossing the street. They used identical signatures making their illustrations nearly impossible to distinguish.
