Native American Parfleche

Cisco’s Gallery offers a collection of authentic Native American parfleche from Plains and Plateau traditions. Made from prepared rawhide, parfleche containers provided durable, lightweight storage for food, clothing and personal belongings. The collection includes painted envelopes, cases, pouches, packets, boxes, bonnet cases and other forms, many decorated with bold geometric designs. Individual examples are identified by tribal or regional attribution whenever documentation allows.
