Winchester Model 1866 Lever Action rifle, 44 Henry RF, 24" octagon barrel, blue finish, walnut stock, serial #37614. The bore is darkened with some pitting/oxidation and distinct rifling. Manufactured in 1870. Traces of original finish mixed with artificial brown patina and protective varnish, a few scattered patches of light pitting, polished brass, forward sling swivel absent, added filler screw on top rear of receiver, and minor handling marks on the refinished wood. Mechanically fine.
