Ute beaded tail bag, Ute in form and style however influenced by the allied Jicarilla Apaches. A picture of Chipeta taken in 1870 shows an exceptionally similar bag. Chipeta herself, a Kiowa/Apache married Chief Ouray who was an Ute/Apache. This very classic bag has the unusual color palette favored by Ute's in the latter part of the 19th Century. 19"
