Nice, thick buffalo bison parfleche envelope with polychrome painting from the Umatilla. This piece shows a thick buffalo bison parfleche rawhide which has been beautifully covered on the front with traditional geometric patterns. Colors of red, green, yellow with blue outlining and pattern. Folded as a traditional parfleche envelope and has an Indian tanned hide tie around the center. The blue outline extends to the back in a rectangular border. Good condition and well preserved with bright colors. Smaller side 23 1/4"L x 10 1/2"W x 4"thick
