An older Tlingit model pole that depicts an eagle over a bear, carved in yellow cedar, ca. 1915. This pole has an awesome surface that has aged beautifully and features original red and black paint with a very mellow lighter blue/green. The unusual carving on the faces of the figures may help identify this artist with a little research. The pole does resemble other Tlingit poles from the period that were made in Juneau, Alaska. 13"H
