(1885-1981). Oil on canvas; 14" x 21", dated '14. Strayer painted murals for Marshall Field in Chicago, and became a book illustrator, working for Houghton Mifflin Doubleday. He also did western covers for The Street Smith magazine, Zane Gray and The Country Gentleman Magazine. Came from Strayer’s estate auction. Well framed.
