Texas Centennial folk art "treasure chest". Marked on top "Steve Maddax" Front side "Texas Centennial Dallas," on the back "Rockmart, Georgia." Wood burned on the inside lid "Steve Maddax Tombstone, Arizona." Made for the Texas Centennial celebrating independence from Mexico, the World's Fair, 1936. A great Texas folk art piece with Texas stars, boots and longhorns.
