Spanish treasure chest of forged steel. Circa 1650-70. From the estate of William W.M. Scollard, noted Spanish arms collector who obtained from a Portugal museum curator Ranier Danehert. Complicated lock system - 8 latches so chest could not be pried open, oversized handles for bar to be placed so 6 or 8 men could carry when filled with gold.
