Southern Plains spontoon pipe tomahawk with solid brass head having curled back cutouts. The original six sided handle with notches and alternating bands of natural red outlined with black file burning. A drilled hole at the base for the attachment of a drop. Collected by our scout in Oklahoma direct from a Native family with attribution either Apache or Comanche. 11 1/2" head, 22 overall. Circa 1850-1880
