Sioux pipe bag of brain tanned deer skin, beaded panel, quilled slats, beaded double drop on one side ending in tin cones with feather fluffs, beaded panel same design both sides, and long fringe. This piece has been in the family for three generations and was purchased directly from the Sioux at a trading post in Pine Ridge, South Dakota where the grandfather owned a store. Family written notes state that Sitting Bull was buried behind the store. The piece was later handed down to the daughter and granddaughter from whom we acquired.
