Silver overlaid and inlaid horse bit with shield design. Marked "US." Both mouth piece and roller with inlaid copper. Original curb chains. Bit is high quality, in as found condition (not cleaned). California coastal maker, but not marked. We have seen other bits marked with "US" that were commissioned by the railroad - for trophy's.
