Antique Remington-Elliot 4-Shot Tip-Up Ring-Trigger Derringer, #17215, .32 RF cal., stationary 3.375" ribbed barrel cluster marked "Manufactured by E. Remington & Sons, Ilion, N.Y." at left, "Elliot's Patents May 29, 1860-Oct. 1, 1861" at right, has hook-like sliding barrel release underneath; frame has barrel hinge at front, rotating striker in breech, ring trigger, integral trigger sheath and grip straps, 2-pc. varnished rosewood grips. Mfg ca. 1863-88. Condition is fine retaining no barrel blue but a smooth brownish tone, frame with 95% dark-tarnished silver, sharp edges and markings, smooth grips show minor marks and most original varnish. Action is crisp, bores show fine rifling.
