(1853-1922) Gouache; 11" x 22". Listed California portrait and landscape artist. Frame in period gold leaf frame. Unsigned within view labeled on the reverse. Andrew Hill was known mostly for his accomplishments in his landscape paintings and as a nature conservationist. He attended the School of Design in San Fransico, before he devoted the later part of his life in the conservation and preservation of California's redwood forests.
