Pre-Columbian, Northern Mexico, Casas Grandes, Ramos polychrome type, ca. 1150 - 1450 CE. An unusual pottery jar with a pair of side "cups" that may have functioned as handles or lugs for securing a covering over the vessel's opening. The surface slippede in a warm buff hue and overpainted with black and red geometric motifs.
Professionally repaired and restored. Repaired from several pieces, with restoration and new material to areas of the base, neck and rim. Side cups are reattached and restored.
