Quinault bear grass and red cedar bark basket with ribbon. This brightly patterned, lidded basket is from the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State and was woven by a Quinault (or Quileute) artist.
The basket features a radiating starburst pattern in orange with a black sawtooth around the rim on its lid and a distributed pattern in purple on the walls of the basket. There is an old ribbon bow, original to the piece or close to it, affixed to the top. 3"W x 2"H
