Made on the east coast around 1830-60, then came by wagon to the midwest (probably used in several towns), and ended up in Britt, Iowa. This piece is oak/ash, with mixed pine and fir wainscot. Soapstone top cleaned but left "as is". Top bar is a later addition for a light.
