This model pole depicts a black bear over a raven and a red killer whale. A couple of unusual features set this pole apart – particularly the angle of the raven’s eyes (at a 45-degree decline) and the red color of the killer whale’s body. This pole would have been carved for a curio shop by a Nuu-chah-nulth carver from Vancouver Island sometime in the 1930s. 11"
