An interesting little model pole dating to the 1930s that features a diving eagle over a human. This pole would have been carved by a Nuu-chah-nulth artist on Vancouver Island for a curio shop, possibly in Victoria or Seattle. The aged, red cedar surface of the pole has an excellent patina and is painted in green, red, and black. The pole is mounted on a round cut of alder for a base. 6 1/2"
