Northwest Coast Nuu-Chah-Nulth model totem pole, circa 1930. This Nuu-chah-nulth model totem pole features a Thunderbird with spread wings over a sitting Raven figure. The “apostrophe” shapes over the eyes point to a particular, but as-yet-unidentified, Nuu-chah-nulth carver who was active in the 1930s. The pole is carved in red cedar and adorned in black, red, orange, and green paints. The pole is mounted on a round cut of alder for a base. 7"H x 5"W
