Northwest Coast style totem pole. This pole is an early example of a Northwest Coast style totem pole carved by a Japanese artist for the North American tourist market. It is a model of the Thunderbird Totem and features a Thunderbird with spread wings over a Bear holding the head and torso of a Human slave. The pole is mounted on a chamfered base and dated “9/14/38.” Circa 1900. 13"L x 7 1/4"W
