Navajo multi stone and sterling bolo tie by silversmith Albert Nells. Inlaid turquoise, onyx, coral, and mother of pearl in raised geometric shadowbox design. Maker's mark "Nells" on back. Albert is a Navajo self taught silversmith specializing in silver and leather work. His culture in his jewelry-making is through the use of all-natural, four-color stones that can be seen in each piece he makes. These sacred colors of blue, red, white, and black represent the four directions and four sacred mountains for the Navajo people.
