Native trade bead necklace with whitehearts and cobalt from Portland, Oregon. Mixed 19th and early 20th Century beads/Northwest Coast. Excellent, wearable condition. This group of northwest coast Indian trade beads consists of round cobalt, brass and cornaline d'aleppos. It can be worn as-is but should be restrung. 28". Ex. Hank Johnson Collection. Hank Johnson was a geologist, and passionate collector of historical and ancient artifacts. Starting with relics and bottles from ghost towns, he later focused on Anasazi pottery and Pre-Columbian.
