Metis (possibly Red River Cree, Plains, Ojibwe or Sioux) 19th Century hide half leggings. Used to protect the lower leg. Used on the frontier. Brain and smoke tanned. Early floral beading with red salvage triangle edging. This taken on account by a dentist in the 19th Century and remained in the family for four generations. Rare to survive.
