This large 5'1" five-figure pole would have been made by a Coast Salish artist (probably Squamish) in the 1960s. The pole was purchased and moved to Anchorage, Alaska, at some point and spent 35 years outside a pawn shop there. The pole features a thunderbird (missing wings – can be replaced), inverted killer whale, raven, and bear holding human. As mentioned, the pole is missing wings and has been repainted several times, but otherwise is in good vintage condition and displays well. Pole can be restored on request.
