Solid kiln-dried hardwood frames, double-dowled, glued, stapled and secured, with corner blocks reinforcing the joints. Eight-way hand tied coil springs are interlaced, by hand, in 8 directions with steel bands. Each piece of furniture has up to 4 different sizes and gauges. Tall, firm coils are used on the outside perimeter of the seat to provide support. Shorter, springier coils are placed in the center for softness. Lip-coils are used along the front row to give each piece a soft spring edge construction. The "aged" leather provides a natural rugged look that highlights scars, brands and scratches, as well as creating rich contrast throughout the hide. Built to order.
