It was the first Anglers Club Tournament in Central Park, NY in 1906 where with a 20 ft Castleconnell Rod, he made a cast of 152 feet which broke his previous world record. When his train arrived back at home, he was met with a reception of hundreds of people with bunting, fairly lights, American and Irish flags, and bonfires celebrating his latest success.
