Hupa/Yurok basket. Hand twined made from beargrass and rods of hazel, spruce or willow. Crafted using a single-sided overlay technique in which the triangular pattern is visible only on the exterior. The overlay technique, attributed to the Wiyot and Yurok peoples, later spread to neighboring tribes across Northern California and Southern Oregon. 4 1/2"D x 3 3/4"H
