Medium size, egg shaped scoop without a developed handle. The paste is a reddish brown, and the temper includes quartz, muscovite mica, schist and black angular material. Construction is paddle and anvil, although anvil marks are difficult to detect. Tool polish striations run longitudinal and parallel to the rim on exterior and interior surfaces. Rim slightly thickened and lip rounded, no decoration. Location of find not reported. The dark color of the paste used in this vessel is not typical of the paste used in the Phoenix Basin, and indicates a probable origin outside area. Glued in five pieces. 12cm at the large end of the scoop have been amateurishly replaced with a sherd of similar material.
