(1896-1975) Oil on canvas; 22 1/2" x 28 1/2". Ornate gold enamel frame. Born in Kansas; self-taught, Prairie Band, Potawatomie artist. Shipshee's first job was a dishwasher at the historic Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, Colorado, and later taught at the Haskell Indian Nation School in Kansas. Well listed.
