Kwakiutl/Haida hand-painted basket with killer whale motif that encompasses the entire edge of the basket, and features the Hudson Bay designed lid. Painted by Tom Price (1857-1927), Haida, Queen Charlotte Island, B. C. He decorated most of his baskets from 1875 to 1900. Colors are vibrant and rich, has been stored out of sunlight its entire life.
