Charming antique folk art totem pole. This larger, multifigured folk art totem pole really reflects the humor and wit of the carver. In the first half of the 20th century, Indigenous model totem poles inspired many non-Indigenous, self-taught carvers to create whimsical and humorous model poles in their own eccentric styles. This pole is fairly complex for a folk-art totem and features several figures that represent birds, owls, and humanoid figures, each with a unique and exaggerated expression on their face.
