"Low Flying Cloud" by T. Bailey.Oil on canvas 30" x 25". Label on back "Original oil by T. Bailey, Winthrop, MA. Grandson of an imminent marine architect. "Flying Cloud" done in 1929." Period frame. T Bailey is a fictional painter pedaled by Morris Hambro (1860-1938) of Massachusetes. Hambro would purchase unsigned paintings, sign them with the "T.Bailey" pseudonym, and sell them for nearly double what he paid for them. Several artists are thought to be contributors to the T. Bailey "franchise". They include Vivian Forsythe Porter, Max Berman, Sears Thompson, J.G. Cloudman, Mae Bennet Brown, Melbourne C. Hardwick and, William Frederick Paskell.
