This incredible and large model totem pole was carved by Wilson Williams (c. 1908-1965), a Ditidaht master carver known for his robust and bold model totem poles. This finely carved pole features a thunderbird, a bear holding a salmon and a human and, on the bottom, a large humanoid head. Wilson is regarded by collectors as one of the most skilled members of this Williams family, and this pole is among his best. The pole was purchased at the Seattle World’s Fair in 1962, just three years before Wilson’s untimely death. 32"W x 38"H"
