All visible SN's matching. Loading gate with proper assembly number. Gun is accompanied by a 1988 notarized letter from Mike McKissick detailing the history as having belong to Mr. A.D. "Bud" Bellor of Tulsa, OK. According to this letter Mr. Bellor was an outlaw who rode with several gangs in the days before OK was a state. One of these groups was Butch Cassidy's wild bunch. In 1915 Mr. Bellor was convicted of bank robbery and served 15 years. When released in 1930 he became reacquainted with Mr. McKissick's father. Bellor gave this pistol to him before his passing in the early 50's. Also accompanied a Colt research letter noting shipment to Hartley & Graham July 26, 1889. Good condition as period refurbished. Metal surfaces with about 80% of a thick nickel plating. Most markings still visible. Cylinder plating is flaking. Grips with carry wear and old repairs at bottom. A good looking Single Action with interesting Colt letter outlining its history.
