Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 213316. 4 - 3/4" round barrel chambered in .38-40 Winchester Center Fire with 2 line barrel address, blade front sight, and frame notch rear. Mfg. 1901. Aftermarket engraved reminiscent of Helfricht's style with scroll on a punchdot background with accenting wrigglework and starbursts at recoil shield, loading gate, top of backstrap, both sides of frame, and barrel. Date of engraving and name of engraver unknown. Nickel plated finish with gilded hammer. 2 piece carved Mother of Pearl grips featuring a steer's head on right grip panel with imitation ruby eyes. Very good, with nearly all of the applied nickel plating remaining. Grips are strong with no major signs of distress. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is dark with visible rifling.
