Colt Single Action Army "Buntline" Custom. N. 38067. Cal. .45 Long Colt. Built in 1877 gun now exhibits a 12" buntline style brl with blade front sight and top of brl stamped "COLT'S P.T.F.A. M.F.'G Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.". Standard black powder frame with SN stamped on bottom of frame, front of trigger plate, and front of toe. Loading gate stamped with assembly number "1655". Gun has ancient yellowed ivory grips. Very good condition as partially restored and customized. Brl and frame are mostly a mix of brown and gray with markings having thinned a bit. Backstrap and trigger guard re-blued long ago and retain about 90% of that blued finished. Backstrap beginning to candy stripe. Ivory grips are absolutely gorgeous and show great grain and color with a small chip on left toe. Bore is mostly very good. Mechanics operate as intended.
