Colt first model .41 Derringer with British proofs. 2.5 inch irregular barrel, .41 RF, German silver half-moon front and hammer notch rear sights. Standard two-line Hartford address and "NO1" marking flanked by Maltese crosses and British proofs on the underside. Matching serial number (825) on frame and barrel. Broad scroll engraved iron frame, with shallow checkering on the sides and deep, sharp checkering on the back.
