Carl Von Bergen (1853-1933) Black Forest Carved Hall Tree with dog and parrot. Signed C.V. Burgen Interlocken. Carl Von Bergen represented one of the “companies” that helped Brienz to a reputation. Not much is known about the company but it was one of the few that signed his carvings, especially the very special works which were very important for collectors. The company was represented at various exhibitions such as Vienna 1873, Philadelphia 1876 and Zurich 1883. Dog and parrots rare. Base 24" x 14", 8 1/2' H
