Blackfeet split horn bonnet. Sinew-sewn stroud hide cap with lazy-stitch beaded headband on brain tanned buffalo. The horns terminating in bells, beads, feather, and horsehair drops. The sides with silk ribbon drops and ermine, with blue dyed trade cloth, hide trailer overlaid with ermine. Old collection tag "Blackfeet Indian horn bonnet. Hay Lake, S.W. of Sweetgrass, Montana, Pigan Blackfoot. Pigan Chief Three Sons. 1896 or older. Buffalo hide strap interior." Overall height from crown to tip of tail 26 inches. Ex. Minnesota Museum
