American Biscuit Co. was started in 1890 before merging with three other bakeries to form National Biscuit Company in 1898, which would eventually be known as "Nabisco." The swastika motif was used by American companies in the late 19th to early 20th century as a sign of infinity. It was trademarked by Pacific Coast Biscuit Company, which eventually also merged with Nabisco.
