Unique Allen and Thurber engraved pepperbox with book case and accessories. 6 shot early transitional style pepperbox percussion revolver made by Allen & Thurber in Worcester, Massachusetts circa 1850. 3 -1/4" 6-shot fluted cylinder .32 caliber barrels marked "ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER" with "ALLEN"S PATENT" marked hammer and engraved silver plated frame. Dog leg grip with oval German silver inlays and walnut grip with silver plated furniture. Comes with period "ALBUM" marked bookcase with inside flap having a plan of an Alderman's chamber with listed names and seating arrangements. Gun also comes with original ramrod, decorated powder flask, bullet mold, screwdriver and percussion cap. Shootable bores with crisp mechanics. Accessories show age but are in good condition.
