two sided map with Idaho Territory on one side, portions of Montana Territory, Wyoming Territory and Dakota Territory on the other. Montana was admitted into statehood in 1889, Idaho and Wyoming the following year. The maps were made by Geo. F. Cram Engraver and Publisher Chicago Ill. The maps show Montana pre 1883-1885, as they do not show Park County (formed on February 23, 1887). George Franklin Cram (1842-1928) was an American map publisher of the George F. Cram Co. which became a leading map firm in the United States. The best known atlas began as The Standard Atlas of the United States which eventually was renamed the Unrivaled Family Atlas which ran for dozens of editions over many decades. His was one of the first American firms to publish a world atlas. The maps are on 11"W X 13.5"L paper that is folded to 5"W X 11"L. Framed.
