These buckle on "irons" were used by trout fishermen on the White River on the South Fork of the Bell/Philip/Wheeler Ranch near Meeker, CO. Keeps the fisherman from slipping on the rocks. Circa 1920, possibly earlier. The first complete set we've seen.
