Wool felt, wid brim, braided leather band over original, and tall peaked crown, having USS Indian Scout insignia pin for the Indian Wars. Remnants of leather chin strap on interior. Ex. Ken Hanna. This one was "there." 4" brim, larger than most size 7 1/2.
