Dimensions

Prehistoric fossilized woolly mammoth tusk. North America, Alaska or Siberia, Late Pleistocene Epoch, ca. 1 million to 10,000 years ago. A dramatic fossilized woolly mammoth tusk with a pronounced inward curvature and a sweeping, sculptural profile. Measured along the outer curve, the tusk is 5.3 feet long and weight 26 pounds. The surface shows natural age wear and tonal variation from long-term burial, giving the piece an earthy patina. Tusks like this were used for foraging through snow, digging, and defense, and today remain powerful relics of Ice Age megafauna. Size along outer curve: 64.5" L; overall dimensions: 26" L x 3.5" W, 26"H
