Attributed to Eli Tait (1872-1949 Tsimshian) Painted Totem Pole Model. Polychrome painted cedar with eagle, salmon, bear and human effigy atop a figural halibut platform base. Unsigned. Chip to edges of eagle wings and halibut tail. Overall good condition for its age. Early 20th century, Alaskan.
Eli Tate was one of the most important Tsimshian artists making model totem production.
