Single Trailer War Headdress. An inspired by Native American cultural piece of high quality and excellent craftsmanship. Usually referred to as a war bonnet, this type of headdress symbolized the ultimate recognition of a warrior's achievement in warfare. This is apprent in all its details: imitation eagle feathers, blood red wrapping and a trailer of traditional red trade cloth. Each eagl feather was a symbol of accomplishment awarded as a "coup", usually by the leader of the military society that the recipient was a member of. This headdress when worn on horseback moved in the ever-present wind on the Plains to achieve a sense of lightness and motion. No Native American visual art form has a more dynamic quality. 6'6"
