Inuit scrimshawed walrus ivory cribbage board with Inuit in kayak throwing spear at walrus one side, and seal sunning itself on an iceburg on the other side. Small chip, and pegs not included. These carvings were usually small carvings from walrus ivory, representing local animals and Inuit themselves, going about everyday life. Seals, caribou, polar bears, birds, and other animals important to Inuit’s survival were often represented.
